Claims Analyst

As a Third Party Administrator (TPA), groupSource not only helps design employee benefit programs, we also act as plan administrator, service department and claims manager for each of our client companies.

We are currently recruiting for the role of full-time Claims Analyst to join our team in Calgary, AB.  The Claims Analyst will be a liaison between the Calgary office and the Surrey Finance team in completing a number of important tasks throughout the month.

Outcomes

  • Able to process daily deposits within the first month of employment
  • Able to process claims cheques from the system within the first month of employment
  • Able to prepare invoices with signature and coding to send to head office in Surrey, BC within first month of employment
  • Review client statements and work with different departments to correct errors if needed within the first three (3) months of employment
  • Develop an understanding of the business within the first six (6) months of employment
  • Provide exceptional service for our clients
  • Become familiar with CRA’s HSA and Cost-Plus guidelines

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. 1.Daily deposits at the bank
  2. Cost-Plus and HSA invoicing to clients
  3. Claims Cheque processing
  4. Accounts payable coding for packaging to head office
  5. Employee expense coding and packaging to head office
  6. Reconcile client BASO and HSA ClaimSecure statements on a monthly basis
  7. Process HSA and Cost-Plus Claims
  8. Assist employees with claims inquiries

 

Must Haves

  1. 1.Accounting knowledge (through school or work experience)
  2. 2.Detail oriented
  3. 3.Strong communication (written and verbal)

 

 

Education & Experience

  • 1-2 years of accounting related work experience
  • Education in accounting. Diploma or relevant classes from post-secondary institution
  • In the process of pursuing an accounting designation is an asset but not required

  • Listening Skills. Lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints
  • Communication. Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication, including Email
